This is where the Lockheed Martin-designed RMP signal comes into action, offering a uniquely powerful and unparalleled capability that protects a secure and reliable GPS connection for servicemembers, even in the most hostile and contested environments.

“As the electronic warfare landscape continues to shift and become more complex, the importance of advanced anti-jamming capabilities cannot be overstated," said Malik Musawwir, vice president of Navigation Systems for Lockheed Martin Space. "Regional Military Protection functionality provides our warfighters with the assurance that they can stay connected and coordinate operations, even in the face of intense jamming attempts."

RMP will be transmitted by the U.S. Space Force’s future GPS IIIF satellite constellation. It works by concentrating the signals of multiple GPS IIIF satellites on the same focused area, acting as a force multiplier against jamming.?

The concept works similarly to lighting techniques on a theater stage. Multiple lights – or in this case, GPS IIIF satellites – highlight the entire stage; but when the main actor is highlighted, one powerful spotlight shines all its energy on one single place.??

Although individual GPS IIIF satellites possess advanced anti-jam technology, their collective power will be leveraged to mitigate even the most potent opposition jamming attempts.?
